Howdy from Charleston

Thank God for the internet and all of these valuable resources. Another great looking forum to be a member of. I'm Chris from South Carolina. I'm really from Texas but my wifer made me move here. I am between GS Dogs at the moment. My last was a beautiful boy named Zeus. He was like a brother to me until his death in January 27, 2007. He was 11. I'll never forget being woke up at 3am with his cold nose touching mine and he would let out a real low urrrr sound letting me know the house was secure and I could go back to sleep. His little brother, Ceaser, is two years younger and still with us. Of course, his little brother is a miniature dachshund. They were made for each other and I sometimes wonder if Ceaser still remembers him??
Anyway, I'm slowly working my wife into letting me get a new pup. Our only real hold-back really is that we live in a townhouse with no fenced yard. Plus I don't know how well I could do to properly provide for the both of them in this economy with feeding and vets costs. I could adapt I'm sure. I just long for that partnership again I guess. Someone who can run with me or chase me on my bike.
So, we'll see. I'm glad I found this place, maybe what I find here will held me convince the wife to cave in.
