I couldnt help but laugh. She is used to Poms. We have a 3 year old Pom so when he tromps around the house and wants to play its a bit different from the puppy. She loves him to death though. We both have the marks of a land shark. I marker train and I have her do it when im at work so they can also build a bond. Once the "land sharking" is over and he gets into the cuddle stage she will love him even more. And when the day comes that she feels truly protected by him it will be even better. Wait until she hears that "after puberty" bark and the windows shake! Its kinda fun watching her experience something I already know is going to happen. She likes to buy him what I call foo foo toys and he just devistates them in a matter of minutes or she will get him a bone that would take the Pom a year to eat and its gone in a matter of minutes. She acually looked for a bone for 30 minutes because she didnt believe he eat it!

lol thats too funny. My husband grew up with Shepherds and in Germany (was stationed there as a kid) so he "knew" what we were getting into when we got our girl. However after a few weeks he left for a month for training and when he came back I told him to be prepared and tried to tell him but nope he wouldn't listen and it was definitely a culture shock to him lol. Then he deployed to Iraq for the rest of her puppy hood and came back after she turned a year and was completely thrown this was the same dog. She has had her big girl bark as we call it since she was around 4-5 months. Now at 14 months its still just as deep however now sounds more "serious" I guess thats the best way to say it although its always been a rather nasty bark.. confident little sucker.
Let the wife know that every trait she could ever possibly hate in him is going the be the exact trait she loves the most for everything.
