New From Missouri

Hey,

My name is thom, my wife and family are stationed in Missouri with the Air Force and are going to be getting a GSD pup soon. Just wanting to learn as much as possible so we can have a healthy and stable dog.

Welcome to the forums! Have you started looking at breeders yet? Do you know what lines you're looking at?

My wife and i actually picked out a breeder in Springfield Missouri and placed a deposit on a little male in their litter. Personally i would prefer and working lines over show lines, i really don't like when looks are a factor in choosing a dog.

So your breeder breeds working lines? This is exciting, when do you get your puppy?

I will be picking him up the second or so week of February. They will be ready to go the first week of February but i won't be able to take time off work. Im very excited and can't wait to start training.

Not sure where in Missouri you are located but I am an hour and 20 mins south of Springfield.

Well Hello!

Where in Arkansas are you located, I have been to Bentonville before, I haven't been in Missouri for very long.

The gal we are getting him from is named Michelle Rich, she is a friend of my wives I don't know much about her. Just that she has some wonderful GSD's with good drive and they are of course adorable.

I live in a town called Blue Eye. It's right on the AR/MO border.

I'm not familiar with Michelle or her dogs. Does she have a website?

I don't think she does. I think the litter that we are picking from is more an accidental pets got pregnant thing. The dogs i say seemed great though
