Hey Everyone.
My name is Stephen and my pups name is Sadie. She's a 3 months old GSD and she's been a joy to have, with a few rough spots so far. She's my first GSD, but I'm very enthusiastic about this breed already. About me : I'm a professional student... working on my BSE for 10 years now. Go me. That said, I'm an engineering student at Arizona State University and when i'm not in class I'm a Network Operations Technician. I'm also a Geospatial engineer for the Arizona Army National Guard. I enjoy being active and also being lazy ( I am a computer nerd after all). Also anything that goes Boom or bang is fun for me. My wife and I picked up our first GSD, Sadie and fell in love with her. I've been lurking on these forums for advise for a bit now and I'm very grateful to have found this resource. GSDs seem to be unlike any other breed I've owned, so it's been a learning experience. Decided to go ahead and register so I could participate in the community. thanks! Stephen |

Thanks for the welcome all. Right now we're just doing basic obedience training. The 1 Hour sessions at Petsmart have been helpful! We're moving into the Intermediate class this week. Sadie is so smart, she's the teachers pet. :-)

Howdy! Congrats on your sweet pup! I lurked for quite some time before joining also. There is so much to read and learn from here!
...you mentioned having fun but a few rough spots on the way... I know what you mean. I thought that if I learned enough in advance and did "all the right things" I'd have a perfect pup - NO problem. pffff..What a wake up call! I was still not prepared but judging from what I've read here so far it should definitely be worth all the work! (and blood loss and scars)
