Hi there,
I am so excited to have found this forum! Looking forward to spend some time here....

We adopted 4 year old GSD Duke from a rescue group two weeks ago.
He is very loving, extremely velcro-ish and is eager to please. He is well mannered but does not know many commands (we are working on that).

We're also working on putting some weight back on him (poor thing only weighed 60lbs when we got him) and are going to sign him up for some training classes in the near future.

Welcome to the forum from North Texas! Did you get Duke from AGSDR or CenTexGSDR or another rescue? I'm a volunteer with AGSDR and I think there are one or two more of us on the forums. Thank you for rescuing.

We got him from the Williamson County Animal Shelter. They had an adoption day at Petsmart.....Went there for dog food and came home with Duke.
We had in mind to adopt a companion for our other dog and have experience with GSD's. So we knew what we were getting ourselfs into

and were prepared to take him home...

Very nice! WilCo shelter is a depressing place. I've been there several times. Thanks for getting him out of there.
