Thumbs up

Hey folks. Love the forums so far.

Got a pup (Chloe) on Dec 1st from the rescue shelter. She was labelled as a Shepard/Collie cross but I really don't see any Collie in her and am curious as to how they would have known. She was found abandoned on an Indian Reserve without any parents near. I'm guessing they threw the word Collie on her poster to entice more people.

First dog for me. Growing up we always had Cairn Terriers. Great little dogs but I was wanting something bigger.

Are Shepherds keen on swimming or dock diving? We spend most of weekends in the summer at the lake and we're hoping that this will become her favorite way to drain energy.

Hello and Welcome, shepherds take to water as much as a lab does they love it. Congratulations, and thanks for giving that pup a forever and loving home. We also love pictures on here if you would care to share.

As requested! These are from when we first got her at the start of December.

Based on those few pictures, can anyone give me a best guess as to what exactly she is? Working breed short-haired Sheperd? Half Shepard half mutt?

As I said, the rescue labelled her as a Sheperd/Collie cross but I don't see any Collie.

Definitely see shepherd in her. She's adorable! I would imagine as she gets older you may see more of the cross breed in her. Keep the pictures coming!

There's GSD in her. But I would wait till she gets older. They all tend to look like big fluffy floppy bears at this age

A couple more recent ones. Think there is any chance her ears go up?

Playing dead, her favorite.
