HI My name is Barb, and i have a King Shepherd Name Sam, i would like to know if someone who knows dogs if a dog like sam were to nip or bite your bottom, would there be his teeth marks in the clothing, its a long story, lets just say i have to go to court for him and fight for his life, a mail carrier said he nipped her butt i was walking him and he had a halty on. She is a trouble maker Sam loves all people neighbours are pissed knowing she has caused so much trouble for him according to the report there was no blood no bite just she said was a little bruise on her cheek, this is why i am asking wouldnt his teeth marks be in her pants.? Depends on how hard he "nipped",,If you were right there, and hindsight is 20/20, I would've said SHOW ME, grabbed a camera and taken pictures of her pants. The report says it all.

If I were you, I'd get as many notorized statements from neighbors/friends/trainer if you have one, as you can about Sam's temperament and interaction with them personally. Were there any other witnesses to the incident besides yourself?

Good luck in court, I'd get a lawyer

No. My dog, in playing, has nipped me plenty of times and left bruises without damaging my clothing. I know that's not what you wanted to hear.

It's entirely possible that your dog was playing. In addition to getting statements from friends and neighbors, get a Canine Good Citizen certificate on him if you can and if you haven't already. I believe those have been shown to hold up in court.

Sorry about your trouble. I have gotten bruises from nips with out holes but that goes to show that he wasnt biting to hurt. Is there a chance the mail carrier had treats in a pocket that he was smelling? I would think if he was biting to hurt there would be blood and holes. Wishing you guys the best.
