new gsd owner. been lurking awhile

Brought home a wgsd puppy about 10 days ago. She is 11 weeks today, and doing great. I work from home so, have lots of bonding, training and socialization, time. This forum is awesome and i am learning lots of valuable information. I am working on clicker training, and this totally new to both of us. I was brought up with understanding that the heavy hand shows the dog who is boss. I never liked that method, and am truly enjoying, training with positive reinforcement. Add to that the fact that i have never trained such a smart dog, and we are having fun with it.

I know from experience, that forums can be a wealth of information, some good, some not so much. But i feel it always helpful to learn from others who have gone through it.

I always try to search for answers first, but may end up asking a total newb question eventually.

Welcome to you and Luna!! There is definitely a lot to be learned from this board. It's helped me so much with my GSD Zira. Always some sort of answers, or at least some advice!

Again, Welcome! And I hope you get a lot of vaulable information here as well as some smiles from all the great shepherd stories!

(Would love to see some pictures of that pup btw!

Can't come on here bragging without some cute puppy pictures for us to "awwww" over!!!)

Thanks for the welcome, and I will work on getting pictures up as soon as Luna will stop chewing on my fingers long enough to take some. Lol just kidding... well sort of.
