Brought home a wgsd puppy about 10 days ago. She is 11 weeks today, and doing great. I work from home so, have lots of bonding, training and socialization, time. This forum is awesome and i am learning lots of valuable information. I am working on clicker training, and this totally new to both of us. I was brought up with understanding that the heavy hand shows the dog who is boss. I never liked that method, and am truly enjoying, training with positive reinforcement. Add to that the fact that i have never trained such a smart dog, and we are having fun with it.
I know from experience, that forums can be a wealth of information, some good, some not so much. But i feel it always helpful to learn from others who have gone through it. I always try to search for answers first, but may end up asking a total newb question eventually. Luna (my white puppy) and i thank you in advance for your support |
