Default Flynn and Abby's mom here

Hi, I have two 5 month old female German Shepherds, Flynn and Abby.

Before getting the pups we (my husband, daughter and I) did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people (friends, family, breeders, vet, trainers) and decided on a GSD. Originally we went through a rescue organization and got a GSD that ended up being more then we could handle and he ended up returning to the rescue. Because that was so emotionally hard on us, we decided a puppy might be a better choice, somehow (because they are so cute) my husband talked me into getting two!

I have to say, I wish I had came upon this forum previous to getting our girls because now I do find two pups is way more demanding then I imagined! Since I am now in the thick of it with these little lovely stinkers, I was hoping I can make some friends to chat with and learn more about raising up these doggies into good girls and get that support and understanding from other dog parents, other German Shepherd parents!

Thank you, please feel free to inquire more if you'd like, all advice is warmly welcomed!

Marie

Thank you!

Do you know, is there an area of the forum where I can ask several unrelated questions about some quandaries I have with my pups? I'm still trying to find my way around on here!

Ok, I found my way over to a place where I could post, I think it was in the puppy place section....lol, still trying to navigate, as I am with my pups! Two at once wasn't guts, it was insanity I tell you!

To be honest, they are actually a lot better then I thought they'd be. At one point they were starting to get a little over on me, but my friend who is a wild animal trainer, helped me a lot! They are very smart combined with being agreeable so it makes a lot better, I would not have gone with two if they were another breed.

They still are getting a little over on me though, they are very much like "Dennis the Menace" cartoon, always testing my patience and getting into trouble, even when they aren't trying to! So far, it's been pretty easy going, but I am starting to think that is because they are training me up better then I am training them up!
