Cool Always a dog lover but new to GSD's

Hi...I am new here as you all can guess. I have always had dogs throughout my whole life but there were mutts (nothing wrong with mutts they are smart to). Recently I took on a 4 month old GSD male and just knew that this dog will need special attention due to the breed. After having read lots of posts on feeding/food/etc I am excited to be entering the world of GSD's. My guy hasn't had much training as his previous owners didn't have any time for him or a yard so he spent alot of time on a deck. Lucky for him, I have a large yard and 3 other dogs for him to play with. I did find out today when he went to the vet for his shots that he is underweight and has very different nutrition needs than the mutts so have been searching for large breed puppy food in my stores. Unfornutely I live in a very small rural community that only has a Walmart and one other store and was not able to find what I was looking but was able to find large breed adult food with instructions on feeding a puppy. Hope that is going to work for him. In the 1 week that I have had him he has learned quite a few simple commands and I am just in love with this guy. Cann't wait to learn more from here.

What kind of food did you end up buying? I don't know what brands they sell at Walmart, but there are online services that ship just about any brand you can think of right to your door... and you can set up repeat deliveries. Petco.com and Petflow.com are two I can think of right off the top of my head.

Post pictures of your little guy!

Do you have a feed store in your area?

Welcome by the way.
