Hello,
I want to introduce myself to you. We just got a new puppy GSD last week. She turned 8 weeks old on the second and was vet checked on Monday - all clear. We named her Zoey- of course we went through about 10 names in 2 days ..LOL but finally decided Zoey. She is traditional colored and came from a litter of 10 pups- mom black and dad white. I remember being about 11 years old and my mom came home with a white GSD rescue- we tried for a month to find a way to keep her as the landlord told my mom she was not welcomed to live in our home. So we had to give her back. I do remember that much. I remember her being very protective and when outside with her ..if any stranger walked up or near me she would snarl and teeth out. That is what I remember from my memories- but I wish I remembered more then that but I can't other then always knowing one day I would have a GSD and that day has come. Our golden retriever passed away of cancer a month ago. My husband gave me a box of cash for Christmas and the next day I came home with Zoey. I knew exactly what I was going to do with the money- get our new family dog. kahluah are golden retriever was awesome but really more my dh's dog- listened to him, followedmhim everywhere, went to work with him every day for the first year. I want a family dog but hoping she bonds to me... Well to everyone in our family but this time a family dog that also listens to me. Any and all advice would be so much appreciated. Hugs and looking forward to being an amazing GSD momma. |

Can't wait to see pictures! Congrats on the new pup and to the forum.
If you get a chance, can you go up to the narrow black strip on the top of the forum, click on User CP, and then add your GENERAL location! It will then show up to the left of each post, like where my Pocono's stuff is showing up. We have alot of members from northern VA and it's easier to 'bond' when everyone knows you live close!
