We named our puppy!

We have had her since last thurs. and we had trouble picking a name. We finally settled on indie. I have a cousin named india. So we went thru german shepherd dog names and people names on the internet for days and nothing seen to fit. We wanted something strong and feminine. Short for recall and something that fit her and sounded good. I spelled it different than my cousin. I didn't want to offend her. I didn't want her thinking she was a dog she is not. So I looked on the internet for different spellings and we agreed on Indie. Funny thing is I went into pet smart to get the tag and when I came out my hubby said Indie. Funny you have your strong name. I said what do you mean. If you break in our house and try to hurt anyone you Break IN- DIE. So it didn't intentionally name her that but it just turned out to be a funny play on her name. My husband is always looking for humor in something and she was not purchased for an attack dog or to ever hurt anyone. I want to add that. MY hubby jokes all day and he does word plays all the time. With the names of things so I called my cousin and told her and she said I wish my mom had named me Indie with it spelled that way. She said it is prettier.Her name is spelled Indy. Everyone ask her if she likes nascar. LOL! So I happy with her name and for not having a name for a few days it turned out better than I thought.

She is cute!! Congrats on the name too. Our guys name is Chewy..as he chewed on us all the time. lol
