I am still doing my due diligence before bringing a GSD into my life and home. I have always loved the breed but due to many factors never felt ready to have one until now.
I have 5 mostly grown children (youngest is 16) 1 grandchild (whom we call "The Bug" and who gave me the handle I am using here) a husband of many, many years, and two dogs. A 2yo lab who keeps us busy as she is a genius, although she fortunately uses her abilities for good and not evil And an elderly Golden boy I recently adopted from the retriever rescue I fostered for. My poor boy is in extremely poor health and I will not be bringing another dog in until he passes so that he can get most of my time, love, and attention. But having him renewed my interest in having a dog who is *mine* Our lab is most definitely my youngest son's although, typical labby, she loves everyone. So I am here to learn all I can and get my "ducks in a row" before getting onto a puppy wait list with a reputable breeder. |
