Hi. I'm Bruno.

Hello everyone. My name is Bruno (that's not my original name, just the name my new peoples gave me). I was out looking for some nookie one day and hopped the fence into the backyard of my new peoples daughters house because there was a really cute female black lab back there. I wanted some nookie, but she was fixed, darn it.

Anyways, I really liked it back there so I decided to stay. I hadn't eaten in several days and was REAL hungry, so the peoples fed me. I also hadn't had a bath in a long, long time. I was pretty smelly and my fur was all matted and dirty. They had a brush and gave me a nice brushing, which I liked a lot. Once they did that, they started playing some silly game where they throw a ball and that girl would run and chase it and get this, she would actually bring it back. I know, crazy. I didn't like the game too much though, since whenever my previous people would raise their hand like that, it usually meant I did something wrong and they were about to scold me for it. We stopped playing shortly after that.

The nice people then put me in a car and took me to the place I live now. I didn't know how to act at first, so I just tried to be good so they wouldn't think I was a bad dog. I like these new peoples, I just hope they like me, which I think they do.

I just thought I would introduce myself and say hi.

Yes, that's Bruno. It looks like he snuck onto my computer and joined this site.

He seems to have had a pretty rough life so far. More than likely abused and absolutely neglected. When we first took him home, we were going to place an ad in the paper in the lost and found section, but the more time we spent with him, the more we realized he was abused and didn't need to go back into that environment, so we kept him. He had a collar, which was 2 sizes too small, but no tags.

I took him to the vet to get his shots a couple of days after we picked him up. As I did that, I also made an appointment to get him neutered. We just did that a week ago and he's doing fine. The vet estimated him to be 2 years old.

We'll start obedience classes after the New Year. He listens OK right now, but we need some work still. He is a submissive pee'er though, which is becoming very frustrating. He doesn't do it much with me anymore, but he does with my wife. We're working on it though.

I like the site. I'm doing a lot of reading right now.

I have a Bruno too. He is very glad another Bruno is getting a shot at a better life. Mine is a mix (Schipperke-GSD is what we figure) and from a cruelty situation in WVA. Great name.
