I just wanted to introduce myself. I have had my puppy for four months now. His name is Baron. He turned 6 months a week ago. His ears are fully prick and he has lost all of baby teeth, although, his adult teeth are not completely grown in. I love animals in general and have been around them my whole life. German Shepherd Dogs are by far my most preferred dog breed to have as a part of my family. I have been the parent for other dogs, but they were a string of rescue animals of various breeds. He is the first German Shepherd Dog that I have been the parent for. I purchased him at 8 weeks of age from a breeder who is a friend of mine. He is growing so quick and I feel like I did when my human child was growing. I know that dogs are not people but I love them all the same. I will post a picture soon; I know the question is coming. The pictures I take are out-dated so quickly at this stage. I decided to become a member because, although I am proficient with dogs, and I know how to train them, there were times like any parent I would look for advice. But, the advice I was looking for was specific to German Shepherds. I have come across this forum many times as a non-member. He growing so well and is turning out to be a very beautiful dog. He descends from the German working line and is on track with the growth chart that is here on this site. I also have a beagle (a rescue dog) and they get along so well; they play all day.
