Exclamation Sup Guys!..An elated new german shepherd owner here. .(pics inside)

Hey I have a 9 1/2 week old pup (Rooney!) that I've had for two weeks.

He is learning extremely fast!! knows the basics (sit, stay, down, stand, leave it) and we are just getting started.

But he has had a few hiccups.

First, he does have a big case of landsharking (which I expected but just not this early). Ouch didn't work and crying like a pup has not either.... right now I'm just going into my room and closing the door. This seems to be working.

Secondly, we still don't have potty-training down but I know it is a learning experience that takes time. I just haven't been setting a consistent schedule because of work.

Anyways, thanks to every one who contributes to this website because it has been a source of great information and knowledge.

Welcome. Rooney is a cutie. I see in his first pic your redirecting his landsharkness. He reminds me of mine in his passed out picture. The second one could be "U looking at me ?"

Handsome feller. Obviously gonna be a ladies man when he grows up.

So cute. I'm guessing he could darken into a sable in a few weeks?

He's ADORABLE! And wow, he looks devilish! Haha. Have fun with him, and take lots of pics! (Sables seem to change daily!)

He already is a sable. They go through a variety of color changes. they are born dark, then lighten up for a couple months, then get dark again.

Some sables are very light in color, but this is not the adult color this puppy will be. Most of the popular ones you see now are dark or black sables, but a sable doesn't need to be dark to be a sable.
