Hi my name is Amber. My husband and I just adopted what it my first GSD. My husband had one some years ago when he was younger and he has always wanted another. We adopted her from the humane society her name was Inga and she is 3 1/2. She is quite different from my 10yr old couch potato mixed breed but she has brought us a lot of joy and a little bit of headache in the 2 weeks we have had her. I am very glad this forum is here and I am sure that I will be using it quite often in the future.

Hi Amber, Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on finding Inga. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly during her transition into your home and hearts
. If you need any help with the "headaches" you've come to the right place.Do you have any pictures? Whats her background?

I finally found the charger for the camera so we are working on getting pictures now. She is a bit camera shy. I don't know to much about her background she was with her first family for her first 3 1/2years and then they got rid of her for unknown reasons. Her second owner only had her about a month according to the humane society their original dog didn't like her. The paperwork at the humane society said she has issues with chewing and barking but we haven't had any problems with that so far. Just dumping and eating the trash and the occasional chase through the neighborhood when she has shot out the door. Have you experienced any trouble with your GSD trying to herd that cats? We are working on that now.
