new from new jersey

i think i used to be on this forum years ago, as when i registered i tryed to use my name and it said it was already taken.

my name is maryellen, i am from northern nj, used to have a gsd that my ex kept in my divorce named Jesse, i took rufus and my other pit , and have a pitx named Rufus.. he is a retired therapy dog that has his CGC, ATTS TT ,and retired from 2 therapy groups.

I bought a female spayed gsd off craigslist in july from a woman who couldnt handle her with her 2 toddlers, and she is an amazing dog. she was a year and 4 months when i got her , and will be 2 in march.

her personality is VERY goofy, and i should have named her Q for question mark lol as she always has a look on her face like , WHAT????? lol.. her name is Sadie, her previous owner named her Sugar (she was born in TN and the old owner got her from a breeder in TN), she was 65 lbs when i got her in july, and i toned her down to 55 within a few months as i hate fat dogs (besides its not good for their joints)

we do hikes on the weekend with a dog group i joined (which i wouldnt do but a friend of mine runs it and dogs with issues are allowed to join and the dog owners are not idiots thankfully) , so if anyone in the ny/nj/pa area up north wants to hike with a really great group that isnt idiots here is the link

she gets along fantastic with rufus, he is super picky about what dogs he likes, and when they met he liked her immediately. i looked for over a year for another dog, due to rufus's DA issues and i wanted a dog that wasnt a genetic mess like my other gsd (who was DA, HA, FA)

so thats basically it. i am a CGC evaluator as well, and used to do rottie and pit bull rescue years ago. now i just network for rescue to help those who need it, and do temporary fostering and also do transporting for rescues when needed.

thanks all! my screen name was maryellen, when i went to register it said my name was already taken, and i changed my old email so i couldnt even get a new password sent . i also have a 15 year old female dalmation living with me (roommates dog)
