Default Hi from NW burbs of Chicago

Hi everyone, ive lurked this forum for months Ive been on many forums so i know the ins and outs. Our GSDs name is Harley he turned 8 months on the 12th. He has already completed beginner and intermediate obedience training, starting today he is going for advanced training. He is a very well behaved dog with a strong personality. I did get him off Craigslist by chance, his parents were both military dogs, the person I got him from had to deploy back to Iraq so he had to get rid of him. once I saw the picture of him I couldn't say no always loved GSDs. He is currently in Training at Tops - K9 in grayslake. When he is a year old he is getting all his joints xrayed to seek out potential problems. Once he is done with advanced training and is over a year old he is going to do agility or or ScH work. Was feeding him Orijen now he is on blue buffalo wilderness he likes it much more.

I think I crammed all the info I could into this post. Cant post pictures of him because im on the work comp and any photo sharing sites are blocked. if I can find one I will post a couple of him.

Welcome! Harley is very cute. Sounds like he has found his way into a very good home. Great job on all the training. Our pup is 8 months we just finished up Novice and can't wait to get going again. Never tried the Orijen...heard great things about it. Our pup isn't very tolerant of the BB, go figure. He does well on Castor/Pollux though.

Training has been probably the most enjoyable for him and I, I do most of the traininig in class but girl does the training at home because i work a lot and till late.

Training with our puppy has been good as well. Gives him some time where he is not competing with 3 kids or a senior GSD. I think I may make my husband complete the next round with him, so they can "hang out". I'm at home with him all day so we see enough of each other As for the snow....I am not looking forward to that, I don't care how much our pup likes it....I hate it!! We used to live up around Milwaukee and I got my lifetime fill of cold weather and snow!!
