Hello from SoCal

Since I have been posting around the forums, I thought I should introduce myself and say hello.

Being honest, I do not own a GSD. That does not make me all that bad a person, but if you would prefer that I do not post or participate on the site, I will understand.

I found your site as I have several "Google Alerts" in my email that send me links to news regarding the topics I have specified. Those topics are "Breed bans", "Dog Bites" and "Pit bulls" The thread I posted the 75 banned and restricted dogs in, is the thread that was in one of my emails. Due to the topic "bans".

I love dogs of all breeds and spend as much time as I can learning about dogs, breeds, behavior, media and so forth.

I currently have two canine children, Cerberus and Thora. I have had each of them since their births, 10 and 6 years ago. They are a mix of Rhodesian Ridgeback and Red nose Pit bull.

I have had other canine children before them as well.

After looking around a little bit, I think I can learn some things here and maybe share a few things too.

Welcome fron another Californian, we wont hold it against you that you don't have a German Shepherd, though remember, there are two kinds of dogs, German Shepherds, and those that wish they were.

Very nice statement. Loyal to your breed. I have never really had an opportunity to be the proud mom to a GSD, I have been very lucky and my canines have lived many years. The two I have now are going on 11 and 5.

Lol. I have the generic kind.

I owned a Black Labrador for 13 years, and I always considered myself a German Shepherd person. I still loved my Lab Tabbie!

Once she passed away, I found a German Shepherd to own. I miss Tabbie, and she was a great dog that I was lucky to have lived with for so long. You can't love only a single breed - favorites are allowed, though.
