Hello, from Gainesville, Fla

Hello, I was searching around for information on German shepherds and inadvertently came across the forum so I decided to join with hopes of gaining some additional knowledge on the pup. My girlfriend and I picked up our first German shepherd yesterday, he is 8 weeks old and goes by the name zombie, we have another dog snow cap that he can socialize with, however being as we have never raised a puppy, I have lots questions but I guess ill address those in a proper category. Welcome, zombie is going to be a handful. You have found the right place to get information. Be prepared to spend a lot of time with your new guy and in the end you are going to be hooked.

Welcome! I am about an hour North of you. My daughter attended USF for undergrad and UF for grad. so who knows where she will sit if she goes to the game.
Cute puppy! Have fun with him.

awwwww, Welcome! Just around the corner from me, I'm in North Orlando. Puppy is adorable and I absolutely LOVE the name Zombie. My last GSD was named Rocky but my husband and I nicknamed him Zombie because he acted just like one in the way that no matter how hard you tried to kill (tire out in our case) a zombie, they just won't die (get tired). He would work & work & work. Eventually I realized I couldn't satisfy his drive no matter how much training I did with him & he was placed with a search and rescue agency where he's doing absolutely wonderful.
