Default Shasta, the newest member of the pack

This is Shasta. She's my newest pup and the youngest i've ever had myself. She's a sable so here's some pictures (since i finally figured out how to post pictures!) to see her color change in just a couple weeks. We've had her over a month now. She's 4 1/2 months old.

thank you! and yes they sure do. We got Riley when he was 5 months old and he's a shepherd/ border collie mix... his color never changed. Zena we rescued when she was 4 but she was also considered a sable though she had the saddle going. Shelby is a classic black and tan and a year old so i never got to see her change and mature to her coloring now. Shasta has been a color changing girl! and if i didnt have the pictures, i dont think i ever would have noticed the differences as much! its crazy but very cool!

Thank you! She's a goofy pup. She actually posed for that one. She ran off, stole Riley's rawhide and came back and posed for it. She'll do just about anything she can to get me to laugh. As far as what i've been reading about other pups, Shasta is amazingly well behaved so i guess i got lucky with her!

It totally looks like she's posing too, and enjoying every minute of it! Too adorable!

She enjoys getting Riley all fussy and growly and then stealing his rawhide and running off to hide it from him or she'll chew on it in front of him watching him the whole time with this "haha you lose!" look on her face. He's a grouchy old 6 year old who only ever had eyes and playtime for Zena.

She looks like such a clown! I love how sables change, Uschi seemed to change overnight- then add the ears going up and down and sideways...very entertaining.
