Default Hello from Missouri :)

I live in Southern Missouri (not far from Arkansas). This is a wonderful site and a true fountain of knowledge. It's easily become my favorite site to peruse on a daily basis. I don't currently have a GSD but they are by far my favorite breed. Hopefully, you'll let me participate in conversation anyway. Also, I'd like to find other owners in the area and hear their input. Let me be specific, good owners in the area. I've found around here dog owners that have honestly made me burst into tears with how they treat their animals. This site has given me faith in people after witnessing a lot of abuse that, to this day I still feel guilty I couldn't stop.

Welcome, I live in NE Oklahoma and I have the same feelings. My GSD's come first, before me, or my husband. I have five GSD's and they come and go as they please in the house. People here are amazed that I would do that. They can't believe that I allow them in the house. I guess I don't understand the problem with them being in the house. The abuse I have witnessed in this area is unbelievable. I understand how you feel.

One of these days I'll get myself together and tell people about what I actually have suppressed for years about the beautiful GSD and her bad owners but it's so hard for me not to cry thinking about it. Yesterday it just all came back to me after reading a story on here and I've actually been a shaking mess since I remembered.

They really do. And it's helping me to realize I really have a passion for helping animals, maybe it will help me find something locally I can be a part of.

There's so many inspiring stories here- and many dogs who need help. Hopefully, you'll find a place for your calling.
