New - Central FL

Hi, I'm new to the board. I have an almost 6 year old German Shepherd named Naomi. My husband adopted her from the Humane Society when she was about 4 months old. I do alot of work as a volunteer, foster, intake coordinator and board advisor for several rescues in Florida. I have fostered several senior shepherds and when space opens again we may be interested in fostering another. We currently have 3 personal dogs and 1 foster dog, 2 cats and a turtle. All of my pets are rescues.

Welcome! Where in Central Florida are you? I'm in Daytona and travel to Osceola County regularly for work.
I did some volunteer work years back with South Brevard GSD Rescue (evaluating GSDs at shelters -- mainly Halifax and Central FL Humane Society/SPCA -- too far away from them) and have done some work with Another Chance/Second Chance Rescue in Bunnell.
I just linked up with a woman in Orlando/St. Cloud who also does rescue work (not nec. with shepherds).

P.S. I love turtles! I wrote an article for the News Journal about avoiding running them over!
