Exclamation I need to train my GSDs for...

...Schutshund and to quit digging out of their kennel!

If anyone knows any good, affordable Sch Trainers close to Fallon, NV, that would be great!!!

And my dogs have a bad habit of digging out of their kennel! Unfortunately where I live is all SAND so, its been very hard to keep the lower edge of the kennel reenforced. Anyone have any tips for me? Me and my dogs would HIGHLY appreciate it, and so will the local ranchers as well, cause they shot at my dogs yesterday when they escaped and chased their livestock!

I can't fix the Sch Trainers situation but I have a 100% and immediate fix for making sure your dogs don't escape and get shot.

QUIT LEAVING BORED DOGS UNATTENDED IN THE KENNEL!

Just bring them in the house. If they are still puppies just crate them in the house. Love immediate fixes that work 100% of the time!

Default Unfortunately...

...Its not my house, and the landlord will not allow them inside cause he doesnt want dog hair all over the place. I play with them for at least 2hrs every day, not including the 2 walks I give them everyday. If they are STILL bored after all that attention that I give them, then I can't do much else. Charlie was never a digger until I got Nookie. Nookie started the digging first, and now Charlie is doing it too.

Maybe a base liner - wire fencing laid flat and connected to the kennel fence, some folks have used wood floors, patio block floors, etc.?

Concrete floor... Ii trust nothing but that. If you can't do it, since the house is not yours, you can put paving stones that can be removed when you leave.

For what i've heard, private Schutzhund classes are expensive, but you could consider joining a club.

Would you consider traveling to California? I travel to San Diego to train and there are some amazing trainers in that area. One in particular who I have in mind.

I'm a Las Vegas, Nevada resident but there are no Schutzhund trainers out here. Well, there are a few, I suppose, but none that I would trust my dogs with...I haven't found one that I liked yet. So, I travel every weekend or other weekend to train with a San Diego club. Sometimes friends come and we carpool to split gas. Could be something to consider if you ever wanted to make the trip!
