My girl is great when I just take her out for walks and to the park, she knows come and I know she will not run off. But when I bring my older male out with me, she is a totally different dog. Will not listen to me at all and will only follow him around. So to get her to come back, I have to call him back. Does this mean she sees my boy as alpha over me? And how can I get her to pay attention to me?

No, it means he's more fun.
How much time do you spend with each of them separately, playing and training?

Lol, yes I suppose he would be more fun. I definitely spend more time training her since she is just over a year and he is 8 and already trained very well. She is always trying to get him to chase her and he would rather just spend time sniffing around and not playing. I would say he's playing hard to get and that makes it interesting for her lol
They are pretty much together all the time when I am with them, except for when I taker her out for walks. But I am trying to train her in a separate area away from him now, if that makes any difference? Last edited by Jesshika; 07-23-2011 at 02:10 PM. |
