bring toy back

Got a pup who's almost 7 months now n he loves playing fetch but wen he comes back to me with the toy I reach 4 it n he runs. Any suggests?

I use two identical toys. Throw one off to the right to fetch. As soon as he picks up that toy, make some noise, show him the second toy and play with it encouraging him to run back to you quickly. when he gets close to you and drops the toy he has (toy #1) mark with a "Yes" or "click" then throw toy #2 off to the left. Pick up toy #1 and repeat....
