Okay, I know there is a thread on focus already; but I really don't have the time to go through all 50 pages on how different people get focus from their dogs.
![]() Minna is now 10 months old and we started the "advanced STAR puppy" class -- there are about 9 dogs in the class. Minna is pretty decently calm, even with other dogs near here bouncing off the walls. Her issue is that she gets distracted and wants to sniff everything around us -- and maybe it was more that it was just the first week of class and there was just so much going on and so many new smells that she had to inspect everything. I think I would get about 5 minutes to focus to work on something and then she'd get distracted to sniff something. I don't know....maybe I'm not using good enough treats for her. Or I'm just not interesting enough to her. ![]() I think I may just need better treats. It's like she needs a motivator to want to work. I don't need help with eye focus, just keeping her from getting so distracted......Any help someone could offer me will be so much appreciated.
