Default To Close Doors?

I followed a few videos on youtube with a card that I got her to nudge with her nose and then tapping it to the door and so forth however now that it has been on the door, every time i say door she goes up and touches it or just sniffs it.

She will no longer nudge it, let alone close it. Lately every time I say door and she sniffs it I nudge it just a tad in hopes she'll think she did it. Anyone have any ideas on how to redirect the command to CLOSE it rather than just TOUCH it?

A friend of mine used a post-it note and put it on the floor with a treat and got the dog to touch it with his nose, then moved the post it to the door. If touching with the nose won't close the door maybe try having her touch the note with her paw and move it to the door.

I'd probably try to re-teach it. first I'd teach her touch my hand and after she gets that use a post-it and get her to touch that. Put the post-it on the door and tell her touch. when she goes to touch the post-it on the door click and treat. After she understands you want her to touch the post-it on the door wait until she moves the door just a little bit click and treat. keep waiting until the door moves a little more to click and treat. Eventually she'll figure out that you want her to close the door. then introduce a work like close. Sometimes You just have to break it down in to baby steps. good luck and have fun with it
