My kid was hit by a car about 2 years ago and shattered her right elbow. The entire leg was removed. Her heel was never anything to write home about and I'm wondering if anyone has successfully gotten a formal heel out of a tri-pawed. I'm just wondering if her gate is so affected that she won't ever be able to do a proper formal heel.
I know the usual methods of teaching a dog to speak (get them riled up, taunt them with something), but they don't seem to work on my 7 year old. It seems to me that when I could get her to at least whimper, she just calmed down, knowing she'd get it. Any other methods? Also, given that teaching Lupa to speak has failed thus far, what are some other ways to prevent nuisance barking?
