We got our pre-Trail Today!!!

Leyna and Levi both earned their PT today. We are very proud parents. Levi went first, and after he was done the other competitors said, "great, we have to go after that!" He was perfect!! Leyna went and had no trouble either. we were a little nervous for her because she usually wants to go find Levi rather than watch her sheep, but she had no problem yesterday. After the first leg, the judge said, during the awards presentation, "not to single any dogs out, but if those shepherds are missing when its time to leave, they will probably be in my luggage!"

This morning we had very tempermental sheeep. Leyna's got scattered once, but for the most part she did really well. Levi did perfect once again, but I got admonished by the judge for micro managing Levi

I figured that would be better that having him floss his teeth with wool! But he was the only dog in the whole trial this morning that didn't lose his sheep. He did great! Its time for us to move on to Started!

Congrats!

You were able to run both legs in one day? I had to go back two days in a row - that was a pain - especially since it was raining and disgusting out the second morning. Awesome!!! Can't wait to hear about the HS - 3 legs .....ugh (sometimes I think AKC just wants our money

)

No, we were out there both Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday we were the last group to go, today the first (which worked out well since it was supposed to be at least 10 degrees hotter today). You worry about rain, we worry about heat!

LOL - no lamb tonight.

But, they are getting some home made frosty paws to celebrate their PT and Janka's 1st bday this evening.

We did not take any pictures, but we may be able to link to a few that were taken by one of the instructors (once she posts them online). We are in the process of working through one of Leyna's issues - which would be pack separation (both human and doggy). She does NOT like her pack separated and will sometimes focus on that instead of the task at hand (even when it is just DH outside the ring without Levi - she becomes interested in why he is not in the ring with us). So, I wasn't about to take any chances during a trial.
