Ulf is the only HGH farm in the US, currently. He is in the Rochester area of New York State.

I am kind of curious - I am interested in learning more about HGH herding...and I am wondering if I can train my dogs in AKC C-Course locally, if I can find an HGH instructor and do the finishing touches at an HGH Farm and then trial from there.

Most important will be working a large flock. The dog needs to understand moving a large flock and how to go back on a large flock. A large flock is going to be "heavy" compared to a small flock. When they don't want to move, they don't. I had that today since the fields are full of standing water and run off streams. The dog had to grip and put a lot of pressure on the flock. A big difference.
You don't say where you are located, looking for HGH. Rushville NY is established. I hear there is an HGH in Texas starting up and there is also an HGH in NJ/PA border starting up.

I am having a hard time finding ANY kind of herding. I think BOTH my dogs would LOVE it.

I'm in S.VA and Washington DC - depending on the time of the year...the one in NJ might be possible...but I wish there was something down here O.o
I'm taking Ruby to a commercial sheep farm this week...and we're going to see how she does on those. ~Cate |

Yes, same group. We train in Columbia. Right now the flock is only large enough for Course C, but after lambing over the next few weeks, we should have enough for HGH.
