Non-stop panting puupy

Hey guys so I got a new gsd male puppy 5 days ago and he has been panting ALL the time since I got him! Non-stop! Even when sleeping! He is panting 24/7. He is 11 weeks old and is a big boy. Is this concerning ?

I would take him to the vet tomorrow and have him checked out.

I second having a vet check him out. Is he eating and drinking well? How warm is in your home? I can't keep above 70 degrees in my house. My dog will get restless and pant. We have to keep a ceiling fan going most of the time for the dog. Could be your pup is just too warm. That said only a vet will be able to tell you if there is something to worry about health wise.

I agree with the vet check, but if it makes you feel any better until you see the vet, ours was also like this. However it was a super hot month when we first got him, and even with AC I think he was a little warm. Puppies do breathe pretty fast in their sleep too in my experience.

Take him to the vet just in case.. did you get him from far away? Sometimes the humidity is different in areas and the temperature change can make it happen... it happened when we got out last puppy! When she finally adjusted to the weather here it was all okay!

Yes he came from up north canada. I think that is what it was ^^ temperature. It was warm for me but hot for him. I just moved apartments and he no longer pants as my new place is colder.
