Hello,
This is regarding my 2 years old German Shepherd named Sarge. This is the best way I can describe the issue:
On his hind legs, there appears to be a "band" of tendon or ligament that runs alongside and behind his Tibia bone. This band, on the right leg is tight. However, it's very "loose" and squeezable on the left leg. He is limping and not bearing too much weight on this leg. At the same time, when walking he does utilize the leg quite often and is even using the leg to scratch his head.
I am sure it's not broken, however, I would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience and whether this is a simple sprain or something worse. I currently have it well bandaged and he doesn't seem to be whining or in pain. He is also eating fine and interacting well.
I am currently unemployed, in between jobs, and unfortunately cannot afford a hefty vet bill. So before taking him to a vet (which I desperately want to do but can't afford) I'd like to make sure it's not something that time and I can't heal.
Thank you for your time and response.
