Question Treating yard for worms?

My puppy came to me with worms. He's being treated but I am afraid he is going to get reinfected from the backyard. He likes to chew on sticks and tries to drink out of puddles and eat snow from the yard. I discourage this but he will still start to do it before I stop him.
So I was wondering if anyone has ideas on what I can treat the backyard with in order to help prevent him from getting reinfected? Does diatomaceous earth work if sprinkled in the yard?

Wondercide's EcoTreat (cedar oil) says it gets hookworms. I called them and was told it also is effective against whipworms. That's what I use, since I'm always bringing home worm-infested foster dogs.

We do have the fosters potty in a part of the front yard where my dogs can't go, and we bag the droppings immediately. We also keep all the dogs on Advantage Multi for HW/flea prevention year round, which is effective against rounds, hooks and whips.

With 20+ wormy fosters here in the last year or so, my personal dogs have never been infected with worms, so it's all working (so far!).

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, john and his friend sally both spotted a dalmatian inside a truck with sirens, headed to put out a fire. State what the 2x4 is made of.
