Just found a large lump on my GSD's back

I just found a large lump on my GSD's back behind her should blades she doesn't mind if I touch it, almost fills like liquid inside but I don't want to pres s too hard and hurt her, I have no idea what this could be, I'm nervous. It wasn't there yesterday. She never leaves my side unless I'm at work. Anyone have any thoughts on this? She's fine otherwise eating, playing, drinking. Please Help!

I had something similar happen to a pup but the location was different.....but I do remember going to the vet the next day....all ended up well.

did the dog have a vaccine recently?

Stephanotis 08-29-2014 08:10 PM

No vaccines recently. Could this be a spider bite or big bite? She is on frontline. I don't think it is but have read some people saying their dogs were bitten by spiders. I'm so worried.

sounds like a hematoma but of course only your vet can say
glad you got an appointment!

The lump could be any number of minor things, People here can only guess, best to just see what the vet has to say tomorrow.

Dogs get boils and sebaceous cysts. Some of them will fill with goo. And popping them, ew! But, best to check it out with the vet first, especially since it wasn't there yesterday. It could be many things.
