Default Stomach Refux, burping & pain under right rib cage

Has anyones dog have Stomach Acid burping & vomiting up un-digested kibble if so what did you end up feeding ur dog & did you use any enzymes or supplements that helped ur dog..also what meds have you used that helped the stomach acid...My boy has real bad reflux & burping the new vet said IBD & wants him on Prednisolone 30mgs a day, Ive read that Prednisolone can cause stomach ulcers & its not advisable to give when a dog has GERD..My boy doesnt have diarrhea so I dont understand where the IBD is coming from we had Ultra Scan on Abdomin thurday & everything came back all good...

That sounds like MegaE and not IBD? Has he been tested for that?

Is the dog vomiting or regurgitating? Big difference, google it. Vomiting what seems to be undigested is not a clue since either way it always looks that way after eating.

Pain under the rib cage may be the start of Aspiration Pneumonia

What is the age of the dog?

Did your vet xray the throat area and lungs? Its really easy to diagnose Mega E if that is what it is. If it is, do not panic, its manageable.

Here is a good link. Read up on it, especially the part on barium.

Megaesophagus
