I noticed a few days ago that my puppy was displaying signs of redness and irritation on his upper lips. I have read up about pyoderma and have also ordered Penaten cream. Him and my other german shepherd are eating out of stainless steel bowls but my female shows no signs of it at all. Are there any underlying causes I should look for?
Delgado had a flare up this winter for the first time, a little Penaten cream cleared it up within two days Keep the area dry as much as possible and if it doesn't start showing improvement take him to the vet to have it checked out
He is crated for about 3 hours a day but no evidence of removed skin just pigment loss and redness. He doesn't even seem bothered by it. No excessive licking or rubbing. Thanks for the tips!
My male gets pyoderma flare-ups in response to allergies. Panaten and topical coconut oil work nicely
