bald spot on 12 week old GSD puppy forehead

I have a 12 week old GSD, she is healthy up to date on shots and eats fine. I have her on Victor Brand Chicken and Brown Rice dog food, recently within the last week she has developed a bald spot on her forehead. Its not red, hot or tender, it doesn't bother her and its not flaking or scaly. I was wondering if this is something that's happened to any of you before?
I have a vet appointment made for her tomorrow. I just thought I would get some GSD owner input.

I've attached the picture.

It doesnt look red or scratched at all. Have you noticed any scratching? The hair doesnt usually just fall out. Even if there is mange present, the dog scratches.

Probably puppy mange, but the vet can do scrapings and give you a diagnosis.

feed a great high quality diet to boost immune system
there are topicals you can use such as goodwinol
should not need oral ivermectin unless she gets more patches

Found out she does have Canine Demodetic Mange, will have to do a three week ointment called goodwinol. They said hers is very localized and she has a good prognosis for it healing. Has anyone had success with goodwinol alone?

My first GSD had very localized demodex. Goodwinol fixed it right up. Make sure you are feeding a quality food and supporting the immune system.
