It's awful close to the eye so putting anything on it will be difficult. I'd just flush it with water and keep him clean. Just watch for any swelling, pus, or discoloring, those are signs of definite infections.
Usually small gashes are not a problem and heal on their own unless they become infected. If you are worried, you can always call your vet and ask for suggestions on topical antibiotics that are safe for use near eyes. My parents had some antibiotic dust that could be sprinkled in eyes to fight conjunctivitis and I would assume that would work well, but I can't think of its name now.

Not a vet, but I would gently clean with soap and water first. Then apply a few drops of hydrogen peroxide. Then apply some triple antibiotic ointment with a cue tip. Careful with the peroxide because the cut is so close to his eyes.

Keep an eye out for signs of infection and take him to the vet on the first sign of any infection.

He should be fine. That cut doesn't look too bad to me.

Thank you!! Would Neosporin be fine?

Try using a Q tip since its so close to the eye and clean it with a saline solution, then see if you can dab a little neosporin (antibiotic ointment on it)

I try to clean cuts out like that (good luck with that :) ) and then smoosh as much Neosporin in the wound as I can.

Then they usually heal up just fine.

Yes, I think so and other posters recommended it. If he is really fidgety I might skip the hydrogen peroxide.

Is benzalkonium chloride + aqua solution safe?

don't know what this, how about something simple like mixing a teaspoon of salt into 8ozwarm water (saline solution) just don't get it the eye

That's what I've used on mine before. Especially since you don't want something so close to his eye getting infected. Wash it with the Ben solution - I usually dab it on with a warm washcloth - then use a Q-tip to dab Neosporin on it. Just make sure you keep an eye on him so he doesn't scratch at it and rewash and apply the Neosporin if it starts collecting dirt.
