Question Picky/difficult teen? or something more serious?

Hi everyone, My female 10 month old is being stubborn and not eating. She has ALWAYS been a picky eater since the day I got her. However, within the last few days she just will not eat. The twist to this situation is pretty interesting... she won't eat out of any food bowl BUT sometimes (within the last 3 days) if i put her food in a pile on the floor, she will eat a bit of it. Is she just being a difficult teenager or do you think that I should be worried? her energy level is just as high as always. She already has the typical 10 month old body: tall, lanky and SKINNY. Not eating just makes me worried all help is greatly appreciated

Have you tried mixing it with soft food? Mine would do the same thing but then I added soft food and mixed together with the dry food and he ate the whole thing!

Ok, I will try that. I have heard of that before. Thank you! Hopefully, she just grows out of it.

You can try adding some water water to the kibble, or toppers like tripe (I used canned Tripett as I don't have the stomach to do fresh), salmon oil, sardines, coconut oil, raw eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese are just some of the toppers which not only encourage them to eat but have other benefits for health

I also have a picky eater, and he will only eat when I mix things with his food. He has gotten better since I neutered him, but he used to be ridiculous. I worried about it constantly, but my vet felt as long as he seemed to be maintaining his weight and was healthy all was good.

Mine does like a raw egg on his food once in awhile, but I haven't tried cottage cheese. I have put tuna on his, and even a little cheap canned dog food. I like Shade's idea to put healthy things on it, and will try that more.

I had a picky eater, I tried everything including handfeeding and begging her to eat. Morgan was 7 before I found a kibble she liked.

She wasn't a good eater but she was amazingly (almost odd for a GSD) healthy all her life until DM took her from me at 11.
