Cetyl m for pano?
Hi everyone! I'm very new here as well as a techo-tard, so I hope I'm doing this right . My names Teresa. I've been reading a lot of posts here at the GSD site. Finding many very helpful tips. and I appreciate all the owners out there. So I've had GSDs for 26 years, I've been throw HD, ED, pano and DM. All my dogs have been healthy up to the end. They all went at 11 years and 1 at 12. All males. My current boy is Jake. An E German/czech/DDR lines. 7 3/4 months, bout 78 lbs. misdiagnosed by the vet with a bone bruise. He sent me home with some rimadyl and tramadol, which I didn't give him because horrible possible side effects. Well, Jake didn't escape pano . So here we are, I not so happy camper. My question is, I'm giving him cetyl m. It's for joints but is suppose to help with inflammation and some pain. It's by Response products. Has anyone used it? Does it help pano at all? What about vitamin C ? I've been hearing about that. Thank you all, and I hope I'm posting this correctly.

I have used it in the past with a dog who had OCD (knees),,honestly I saw no results. But as with anything, what works for one may not work for another:)

I tend to use traumeel for joint/arthritis issues lately

My breeder told me to give Vit. C 500 mg twice daily, which I am doing. And I am giving him a supplement for Pano from
He is still limping somewhat but of course I don't know what he would be like if I didn't give him these. I also am considering MSM.

No, right now I'm down to two dogs, my 14 yr old aussie she is on meloxicalm, and Masi my 5 yr old gsd, she is on probiotics, but nothing for joint issues..

Thank you both. I know it's just a waiting game, and the only true cure for pano is time. It's just soooo hard being patient and watching my boy being sad. :(. At least it's a pretty mild case for Jake.
