Poop change.

I know it's typical for a dog's doo to change if you change their diet/food, but I was wondering if this is a big deal or not.

When we first picked up our pup, we weren't sure what to get him as far as food went so we went with Eukanuba kibble. It's dark in color (if it matters), but his doodies were normal as far as I saw.. brown to dark brown, had shape, was never runny or anything like that. After doing a lot of research, we decided to switch him to Canidae ALS Chicken Meal and Rice formula (the other flavors seemed weird to me.. so we went with chicken, lol) and he really likes it. No vomiting, he seems a lot more energetic, no diarrhea or anything.. but his poop is light brown.. still has shape, but it looked like it was a little more mushy than it normally would have been.. but still pretty normal.. other than the color. I don't know if it smells or not.. I really don't try to smell his poop. Hahah. I tried googling and wasn't really finding anything that fit the description (maybe I fail at researching) so I was wanting to ask. His poop is very similar to the color of the dog food, so could that be why? or is it something else..

It's probably the food, I wouldn't worry about that, but if it doesn't firm up, maybe try another brand?
