Default Your opinions on weight loss plan for GSD (when on RAW)

Molly is almost 4 yrs, about 90lbs. Would like her weight to be about 84-85lbs.
Currently gets 8oz of prepared or dehydrated raw 2x day.plus small snack after late morning walk or training treats when she comes to my office. (not a lot, maybe (4) 1"inch square soft treats.

Looking for advice on moderate weight loss plan. Anything too drastic might make her colitis flare up. I was thinking of reducing her meals to 6oz instead of 8oz. That would be 4 oz less per day. Do you think she would then lose 1lb every 4 days? Does this sound reasonable? With her ortho problems, I'd like to get her leaner.

just reduce her food
don't feed a diet food or change it
i don't know how much is recommended
as i've never fed that
but just reduce and give it a week
reduce again and give it a week if the
first reduction did not help
is there a current pic of the dog
to see if she's overweight or just large
boned?

Can you take her swimming?

It would help her loose weight, build muscle and it will help with her ortho problems.

Molly does not want to swim, she gets scared and the closest hydro therapy place is about 45 miles away, we may need to look into that, just dread the drive. We only have the ocean here for swimming, it is cold year round, even though our daytime air temps are nice. Most people wear wetsuits to go in the ocean. We do have a river, but technically dogs are not allowed on the state owned trails to access it. Not worth the stress of hiding from state park rangers.
