Huge bump on my pup

My GSD puppy is about 14 weeks old now and plays very rough with my 4 year old boxer, I just noticed a huge bump above his eyebrow towards the right ear cavity that was not there this morning about 4 hours ago. it does not hurt him when rubbed and feels hard and full of fluid, no puncture, rip, blood or redness. Is this most likely the sign of rough play? possibly turned quickly and hit his head on the wall or table.

It is about the size of a half a golf ball.

Sounds like it could be a hematoma or abscess, probably from a tooth. Can you get him to a vet tomorrow to have it checked out? Sometimes they need drained/antibiotics.

Was trying to post an edit but can't so I wanted to add that this showed up about an hour after he was playing with our boxer.
I live far ouy and getting to a vet is possible but it wont be within 48 hours, so just asking some questions and monitoring it for now.

Not really in the right place for a tooth root abscess. But it could be an abscess from something else.

No way to know until a vet looks at it. You could try a warm compress, look for a wound.

Wow, thats a pretty big lump. I'd sure watch it closely and make sure it doesn't get any bigger if you can't get him to a vet in the morning.

With it being in the facial region I would be concerned. I would get a vet to look at it

My pup has something very similar. He's 15 weeks and got tagged too hard by another dog late last week. He had a little bump on his snout and then it seemed to go away. This weekend it came back. It doesn't bother him at all but if it's not getting smaller tomorrow I will probably call the vet and ask about antibiotics.

I will definitely keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get larger. Still no wound, scab or seepage. Just a big goose egg like he hit his head hard. I just hear him let out a big scream when he was playing earlier today, it could be the cause. I'll just keep watch and wait for the vet to call back.

He is still in a great mood and playful, balance is good and eating ok. No if I could just get my boxer to stop eating his ears haha

with a lump the size of a goose egg i think you should go to
the Vet or E-Vet immediately.
