My shepherd had surgery about a month and a half ago to remove a growth from his rear left leg and he keeps licking the spot no mater what we or our vet puts on it. He has broken 3 cones, has worn 2 cones at the same time plus a neck brace and still gets to the spot. Any help on what we can put on it would be greatly appreciated. The spot is about the size of a half dollar with no hair in that area. Thanks in advance for your help.
Fiona can get out of the e-collar, whatever form it takes. I started wrapping her leg with the flexible bandage that sticks to itself. Think Ace bandage. It would last during the day and even some nights. Fiona's sister Gilda licked a tiny sore into a giant boo boo. We are wrapping it up to keep her from licking it.
Tried the muzzle last night but he kept pulling it off. We have some of that blue tape so we put that on him a couple of hours ago so far so good. Thanks for the suggestions.
