Welcome leos mama!
12 years old is pretty risky with anesthesia, especially after pneumonia.
How much trouble are the stones causing him?

Maybe this article can help.

Canine Kidney Stone and Bladder Stone Prevention - Whole Dog Journal Article

Diet change and some herbals can break up some crystals and flush them out. Helps to know what kind your dog has. Did the vet tell you? If not call and ask, let us know

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. - Unknown

Thank you Mom2GSDs & GatorBytes......the stones aren't bugging him at all......since his pneumonia is pretty much cleared.......he's been able to get up n walk around.......since the diet change he's been more alert like his old self....I'll ask the vet as to what kind of stones he has.....thank you
