Default Worms

My dog has little tiny white worms in his poop. Any ideas? He's been dewormed but it's been a while. But his stomach is not swollen and he's not sick.

He's already been dewormed 4-5 times.

He may have ate something that gave him worms again.

Probably round worms...take him to the vet and I would take him back for another deworming in two weeks after he finishes his first deworming

no - it is tapeworms...they break off in little segments, rounds are long thin spaghetti like strands....tapes can come from fleas, eating dead stuff

Take a stool sample into your vet, tell them what the worms look like...the meds that kill rounds do not get tapes

Looks like little rice kernels? If so...tapes. Regular Pyrental type wormers won't get those buggers. Need something like Droncit or Drontal Plus.

If it is tapeworms, praziquantel (available over the counter at feed stores and made for dogs) is a medication that gets BOTH types of tapeworms - those from eating dead critters and those from fleas.
