Worms

Jinx has worms, probably ate one of the mice the cats leave. I called the vet and they told me to come in and get some pills. So I was wondering how long does it take to get rid of the worms? She said to come back in 3 weeks to make sure they are gone, so I figured they would be gone then. Also is it possible for me to get them from her, I'm really paranoid about disease and stuff like like. Third do I need to vacuum constantly until they are gone, keep her confined? I have never had any experience with tapeworms so any information would be nice.

don't share the same toilet.lol don't have an answer for you other than keep potty area clean and use latex gloves while cleaning. the worms are internal so constant vacuuming is not needed imo.

Sorry, I don't know anything about them and I'm a really paranoid person.

You will need to pick up and dispose all feces. Get some diamatecous earth and sprinkle it on the site to help kill the eggs for any that might be left there. A vet tech told me to spray windex on the site. I guess the ammonia kills any left on the ground?

I'm not sure where to find that. If its the ammonia that kills them can I just put ammonia water in a spray bottle and use that? I just need to spray the spots where I picked up feces? I read the worms can hang on her tail area, should I bathe her?

Intestinal Parasites In Your Dog And What To Do About Them

Probably everything you would want to know about worms and then some.

You can get diamatecous earth at Tractor Supply or online.

I dont' know what in Windex kills them or why she recommended it. I am just relaying that she told me to use that.

I have a pretty big yard and I usually just clean it up every week. If I miss some will she get them again?

Yeah, if I bring her out on leash. How long would I need to do that though? How long until any eggs die?
