Default Bane not gaining weight

Hey guys.. My boy bane is not gaining weight since a month.. At 3 1/2 months he is 18 inches tall ( which is less than normal i think?)
He stinks more than my other dogs even after a bath..
He eats a lot, always starving.. He gets 600g of totw high prairie puppy kibble divided in three servings..
I think he had worms.. Took him to a vet he also said bane has worms and gave him medicine a week back.. I noticed his stool since then, no worms were excreted.. My conclusion is that the medicine was not potent.. As there is issue of fake medicines in my country even for humans.
Can you guide me how ican deworm him at home with human medicines... I gave him albendazole once.. But that was for tape worms.. I need a combination of drugs along with doses to deworm bane..
Any kind of help will be well appreciated by me and bane.

Can you post any pictures of your dog?

Is he bony and rib showing and thin? How is his energy level?

There is another condition common in GSD's called EPI that causes issues...

EXOCRINE PANCREATIC INSUFFICIENCY GSD

I would get more worming med(strongid is what I use) from the vet and give him it every two weeks...sometimes it takes 3 doses to clear...bring in a sample to make sure he's clear.
IF you have food grade diatomateous earth available, that can be given internally to kill parasites. Try that if you don't trust the vets meds. Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade Benefits:Gallon Jars to 50 pound bags

his energy level is great. active all the time.. ready to play.
Ribs are not visible but can be felt.. although he is a long coat so just the fur can hide the ribs

Please have him tested for EPI - I assume your Vet in Pakistan will be able to do this, it is just a simple blood test.

EPI means your dogs pancreas doesn't work and he will eat and eat and starve to death at the same time - it's horrible for the poor dog. But is easily treated by adding enzymes to his food each and every time he eats. I just give my boy a 'Creon' capsule before every meal.

If you are worried he may have worms and the medication in Pakistan may be fake then can you buy from another country? Here is a website in Australia that ships internationally vet-n-pet DIRECT | Shipping

Also, here is some links on worming from the same website

His stool is not yellow curd like. He passes solid stool. His ribs are not visible. He is quite active. There is no steatorrhea or fould smelling diarrhoea. So i am assuming it is not EPI although i will have him tested just in case.

Bane is a very good looking boy.

If EPI tests are not done in Pakistan, then just keep a close eye on him, he may not have EPI at all, just be growing through a big growth spurt. If he is eating and eating a lot and his stools are not normal, you can easily feel his ribs and he is not putting on weight then you may need to do further research yourself on EPI and perhaps source 'Creon' from overseas. But this should be only after you have monitored him for a few more months, checking his weight etc.

At 3 months the average male GSD is 12 kg, as he is just under 2 weeks off 4 months, then 13 kg is probably fine. If he is always hungry and he does not have worms, then maybe increase his food a little more, you need to keep increasing the food to suit his growth and then cut back his food to a maintenance level once he is fully grown.

Here is a guideline we use in Australia

German Shepherd Weight for Age Growth Chart
1 month – male range 2.5-4, average 3.5 - female range 2- 3.5, average 3
2 month – male range 6- 9, average 7 – female range 5- 7.5, average 6.5
3 month - male range 10-14, average 12 – female range 8- 12, average 10
4 month – male range 16-18, average 17 – female range 13-16, average 15
5 month – male range 18-22, average 21 – female range 16-20, average 18
6 month – male range 22-26, average 24 – female range 20-22, average 21
7 month – male range 26-28, average 27 – female range 22-24, average 23
8 month – male range 28-30, average 29 – female range 24-26, average 25
9 month – male range 29-32, average 31 – female range 25-27, average 26
10 month – male range 30-33, average 32 – female range 26-28, average 27
11 month – male range 30-34, average 33 – female range 27-29, average 28
12 month – male range 32-34, average 34 – female range 27-29, average 28
18 month – male range 32-36, average 36 – female range 27-30, average 28
24 month – male range 32-38, average 37 – female range 28-30, average 29
36 month – male range 36-40, average 38 – female range 28-32, average 30

Some generalizations on growth rates

1. Males – between 12-20 weeks on average are gaining up to 1-1.25 kg max /week.
- between 20-26 weeks, gaining .75-1kg max per week.
- between 26-35 weeks gaining .5-.75kg/week

Male GSD’s largely stop growing in height by 9 months and may gain an extra 1cm (maximum )in height by 15 months.

2. Females - between 12-20 weeks are gaining up to .75-1kg maximum week,
- between 20-26 weeks, gaining .5-.75kg maximum week,
- between 26-32 weeks, gaining .25-.5kg/week

Female GSD’s largely stop growing in height by 8 months of age and may gain up to 1cm in height by 12-15 months of age.

#The weight of a puppy (male or female) at 4 months (16 weeks) is roughly ½ the adult end weight.
